Many Celtic fans aren’t happy Neil Lennon has excluded Timo Weah from today’s derby match.
Weah looks to have played his last game for the Hoops after Lennon told him to leave Lennoxtown on Friday.
As reported by The Scotsman, the decision was taken by the manager after the player chose to head off to the U20s World Cup with the USA squad rather than stay and fight for a starting place in the upcoming Scottish Cup Final.
Clearly the young attacker values developing alongside his countrymen at a prestigious youth tournament, but from Celtic’s point of view it could be seen as a lack of commitment.
He also could have at least been an asset in today’s trip to Ibrox and Lennon clearly values his talent to some degree considering he started last week’s match at Pittodrie.
Some supporters feel Lennon has treated the player unfairly, taking to Twitter to share their thoughts over the weekend…
Timo Weah has been treated badly by Lennon since he came in, a don’t care what anybody says. There’s a serious, serious player there who’s barely had a chance since Lennon got the interim job.

Neil Lennon telling Timo Weah to pack his things instead of being a part of the sqaud for Sunday worries me.
Weah could have made an impact on Sunday. Daft to send him home.
Lenny isn't keen on the loan players at all.

Lennon definitely handled Weah wrongly. Are we a weaker team tomorrow for sending him home? Yes.
Did Lennon toss out a potential starter (or game changing sub) for no valid reason? Yes.

I love Neil Lennon to bits right but the fact he’s let Timothy Weah go especially when the guy was eager to stay is fucking criminal. If he’d rather play players like Sinclair over him then he shouldn’t be managing anyone. God bless him n all that but cmon to fuck

Lennon telling Weah to "pack his bags" ????????♂️shite to deny the lad the chance to celebrate the league title win even if we possibly couldn't play in the cup final. Just reinforces the thought he shouldn't be manager going forward.

Lennon has robbed me of a Timo Weah winner at Ibrox

Lennon is obviously pissed off Weah is not finishing the season at Celtic and told him he might as well leave before the Rangers game. Personally I think that Weah could have contributed on Sunday.

Neil Lennon getting rid of Weah is the final straw, out.
