What a performance by the team yesterday.

To a man they all stood up to the challenge and took another massive step towards the title as the Hoops move six points clear at the top.

In particular, the defensive work of Carl Starfelt and his partner Cameron Carter-Vickers.

Both where immense as they once again showed the world why they are part of the best defensive record in the league.

And when asked if the Celtic fans will be hoping that CCV will become a permanent member of the team, former Celtic striker Simon Donnelly was unequivocal in his answer.

Speaking on BBC Sportscene, Donnelly said, “Most definitely. Solid as a rock today.

“As we saw today it’s been very comfortable and most of the season.

“It’s been taking a bit of stick the Celtic defence.

“They’ve actually got the best defence in the league, but I think European games at the start, Starfelt would make a couple of mistakes.

“But they’ve grown as a partnership and today was a hell of a performance.

“The back four, Juranovic had a nervy start. I thought Taylor did really well today.

“But yeah, you have to keep Carter Vickers.”

It is a view shared by many Celtic fans and they will be hoping that with the league almost wrapped up the board will speculate to accumulate and start to spend some of the Champions League money that will be coming our way on the American.
