As if Ange Postecoglou didn’t already know what he was letting himself in for when he joined Celtic and about life in Glasgow, Craig Moore has spoken about how he tried to prepare his fellow compatriot for life in the SPFL.

Or more specifically, Glasgow.

Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show, Moore said he tried to prepare Ange for life in the famous goldfish bowl in a private conversation, but admitted that he couldn’t really explain it fully to him.

Moore played for Rangers for eight years and knows full well about what it takes to cope with the spotlight but also warned the Aussie gaffer that the league position MUST get better, “In the conversations I had with Ange before it’s like everything you think you know about Glasgow everything you think you know about Celtic and Rangers and the goldfish bowl, you’ve got no idea until you actually live in it.

“I haven’t had recent conversations with him.

“They’ve been that busy with the amount of games and it’s probably been tough because he’s come in and has been that many things going on  behind the scenes.

“We’ve touched on Hearts and Hibs. Motherwell at the moment I think probably punching above their weight by having a fantastic start.

“Dundee United having a fantastic start. So all of a sudden Celtic away to Aberdeen, even if they went got a win, which they did do, they didn’t climb the positions.

“They’re still in sixth position. So that was a massive, massive result.

“I think the patience will be there but again it’s based on showing signs of improvement.

“But third, fourth, fifth in the league, that won’t be accepted.”
