Celtic fans appear to be absolutely done with defender Dedryck Boyata after his agent implied he had no intention of playing for the Hoops again following a transfer dispute.
As reported by The Scottish Sun, Jacques Liechtenstein has spoken strongly about Boyata’s future, declaring his client injured and claiming he will be unable to play in the final year of his contract at the club, in order not to risk his career.
The player is apparently upset that Celtic rejected a bid from Fulham for him last week and looks to have downed tools.
It demonstrates a real lack of professionalism and is another demonstration of how difficult it can be for clubs to navigate modern football, with all the power now with the players.
Hoops supporters have been left fuming with the latest developments and took to Twitter at the weekend to share their thoughts on Boyata’s situation…
Boyata – An utter bombscare who bottled it in the rangers game in 2016. Goes to the World Cup, plays a few games and now thinks he's bigger than the club that saved his career.

I'll say this about Stuart Armstrong….
He may have wanted away but at least he had the good grace to work with the club, play with commitment and sign a contract extension to ensure that Celtic got a few Bob when the transfer happened.
Contrast that with Boyata.

Listening to Boyata’s agent bullish chat I’d exit him & his bombscare client right out the door. One day he’s “got a sore back” yesterday “He’s not feeling well & he won’t play at 95% fit”. Get him tae and use the fee (£12m?) for strong solid replacements FFS

Dedryck Boyata is a pathetic individual. Years of inconsistent form, injury and horrendous mistakes domestically and in Europe, plays three pishy games at the World Cup and he thinks he is Vincent Kompany.
