As the rumbling and grumbling on the new regime change at Celtic puts Neil Lennon’s managerial position under the microscope again, football reporter, Mark Guidi, revealed last night that a major shake up of Celtic’s hierarchy system is set to take place.

Speculation on the managers position has been rife for months (keep an eye out for a later article on this) and it seems that there could be a new man in place for the summer.

Speaking on last nights Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, Guidi revealed that Celtic are definitely looking to appoint a Director of Football and a name has been sounded out for the position, “On who’s choosing the new manager or who will decide if Neil Lennon stays on to be the manager next season? Well that that will Dermot Desmond’s, call or certainly, it should be, in conjunction with Don McKay the new Chief Executive because he’s got to work with Neil Lennon or any new regime moving forward.

“One thing I think that is going to happen, and that Don McKay is in total favour of as the introduction of Director of Football or Technical Director. That process is well underway, well underway, and there’s names on the list I think at least one person has been sounded out if not interviewed, so that is going to happen.

“And then the rest of the structure will will slowly but surely take place but I think like all Celtic supporters and and all season ticket holders that have put the money into the club will be debating whether they put money into the club next season, then they need to know what was happening at their football club”
