Celtic fought out a hard earned 3-1 victory over St Johnstone at McDairmid Park this afternoon.

Goals from Liel Abada (2) and Nir Bitton help the Hoops pick up all three points to keep the pressure on their rivals at the top of the table.

But one worrying moment for the fans was Kyogo, again, limping off with the a recurrence of the hamstring injury that has haunted him for the last few weeks.

The only saving grace is that the winter break will now allow Ange Postecoglou to give the Japanese strike a well earned rest and the time to add to the squad, the Celtic manager gave an update on Kyogo in his post match interview on Sky Sports, “He’s ok. He wanted to give it a go today. He wasn’t 100% today. And we said to don’t overly risk it.

“But he’ll be fine.”

This will be music to the Celtic fans ears as they would be fearing the worst after watching their cup final hero limp off yet again.

It looks like the Japanese striker will be fit for the Glasgow Derby but clearly that’s dependant on whether or not he is called up for his national side in January.
