You know what I wish would happen with these pundits that are paid to spout utter nonsense about our club?

That they are forced to do their homework on the topic they are being paid to talk about.

I’ve written a similar piece on Frank McAvennie that’s due to publish at 10pm tonight and normally I let these people just get on with it but from what I’ve read from these guys just shows that they do not have a clue what they are talking about when speaking about Celtic.

Take this from BT pundit Alan Hutton. Speaking about Celtic’s apparent pursuit of Yuki Kobayashi, Hutton said, “I see Celtic as very strong at this moment in time,” he told Football Insider.

“But, I understand from a Celtic point of view that you can’t stand still.

“I think [Moritz] Jenz and [Cameron] Carter-Vickers have got a great relationship, they look very strong together. [Stephen] Welsh and [Carl] Starfelt are obviously in there as well.

“It is probably not an area that I see that is totally needed at this moment in time. But Ange will have done his homework, he probably knows the player and what he is capable of.

“So he will have a good idea of what he is bringing in to the football club. If it is an opportunity to bring in a top football player I am sure they will do it.“

So what’s it to be Alan?

Don’t stand still but don’t strengthen at the same time?

Or it’s not an area that needs Kobayashi but if the opportunity arises Postecoglou should do it?

This is the sort of drivel that we need to put up with from a guy who said recently at a Scotland game about Bondar’s challenge on Che Adams, “For me it’s more than a yellow.

“Maybe not a red, but it should be more than a yellow.”

Jesus Christ.

Who were Celtic’s most expensive transfers these seasons?
