BBC man gets the Ange treatment

What was the best part of today’s game against Hibs at Easter Road?

Jota’s ball to Abada?

Jesus, I think that was the only part of the game that was interesting.

As both Celtic and Hibs played out a snooze fest in the capital, two dropped points meant that there was tension in the air from the fans and a Celtic manager in no mood to take silly questions from the media.

And to be fair the BBC reporter, the question he asked wasn’t that daft.

On BBC Sportsound, the Celtic manager was asked if performances by the team were still at the same levels, Ange hit back, “Was that our first draw?

“I just said the performance was good…

“Look, disappointed for the players who didn’t get the rewards they deserved, I thought.

“Ultimately, we control the game at a difficult place to come, we couldn’t get a goal we needed.

“They hung, towards the end we had a couple of chances but the ball didn’t bounce our way when there’s a lot of bodies in the box. it makes it difficult It made it difficult, the pitch is not great, all those sort of things.

“You need to be pretty precise, we just didn’t get the bounce.

“We controlled the game, we played it in their half. Like I said, on another given day it would have been a different result”

Make no bones about it. That was a poor performance.

The Celtic fans are not daft. Neither is Ange.

Let’s hope the message in the dressing room was a lot sterner than the answer given in his post match interview because we have an extremely tough run of games coming up post split.

We can’t afford another slip up.
