The last Glasgow Derby of the season and the last chance for Celtic to not only stop their rivals going unbeaten in the league, but also the last chance to not become the first team since 1999 to not win a Glasgow Derby match in a whole season.

Speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, pundit Hugh Keevins says that Celtic would be better off leaving talismanic striker Odsonne Edouard on the bench as his from is so bad, Celtic would be better facing Rangers with him NOT in the starting line up, “I don’t think he’s shown anything for a while now. If his head still in that place better, off leaving him on the bench.”

Co pundit Jim Duffy disagreed somewhat and said instead of leaving him out the team, it is time to call Edouard out and restore his reputation amongst the fans and demand a big performance from the Frenchman, “I’d be throwing the gauntlet to Odsonne Edouard and saying to him this is your last chance to make a big impact as a Celtic player. It doesn’t matter what he does in the next couple of games after that, This is the game that he could well be remembered for. So, I would be throwing the gauntlet down and saying ‘Listen this is your opportunity’.

Is Eddie Howe the man for the Celtic job?

YES

NO

LET'S MOVE ON

“It wouldn’t sell him somewhere because I think people have already made decisions on that, but I think it will help his reputation if he can manage to go with a bang.”

You have to wonder how it has come to this. To go from sweeping Rangers aside from fixture to fixture to now wondering if we’ll ever score, never mind pick up three points against them. Would leaving Edouard out help the cause? Absolutely not. Partnering him up with Griffiths up top would certainly help it. And lets face it, we have nothing to lose.
