It would seem as though we’re on the brink of seeing Rangers get a new manager in the shape of Steven Gerrard.

A surprising name when it first came about as a possibility, he’s gradually become the firm favourite and I’d now be slightly shocked if he didn’t take it.

Whether or not he’s a success, who’s to say, but I certainly have my doubts he’ll get that riff-raff club anywhere near us for the foreseeable.

He told BT Sport last night that he’s having talks with them, though, and it appears plenty of our fans have reacted to that:

The Verdict

He’s a player I always rated but if he goes there as manager he’s still going to get some stick regardless.

I do sense a fair few of us feel as though he shouldn’t risk his own career in going there but, at the end of the day, it is his call and he’ll only have himself to blame if it goes pear-shaped.
