Celtic scored three first-half goals against Hearts to move fourteen points clear at the top of the table.

Striker Odsonne Edouard had them in front on just three minutes and Dedryck Boyata and Moussa Dembele went on to improve that before the break.

Kyle Lafferty grabbed a consolation for their visitors midway through the second period.

The Hoops wasted little time going ahead, Dembele immediately releasing Edouard to chase away and fire beyond Jon McLaughlin.

Kieran Tierney was next wide from distance and Dembele thwarted by McLaughlin, until the Bhoys’ striker allowed Boyata to slot under the keeper and double the advantage.

Fine work down the left by the advancing Tierney then witnessed Dembele adding a third goal inside the final ten minutes of the opening half.

The Frenchman curled over another effort after the break, and Edouard was also blocked by McLaughlin before latest signing Charly Musonda was introduced from the bench.

Goalscorer Edouard soon went close again for the hosts, although it was Lafferty seizing upon a loose ball and locating the far corner to reduce the deficit.

But the champions could have enjoyed further reward with Olivier Ntcham, Musonda and Scott Sinclair having further efforts towards the opposite end.
