Manager Brendan Rodgers insists striker Moussa Dembele won’t be leaving Celtic during the January transfer window.
The 21-year-old Frenchman has regularly been linked with a move south of the border but his boss reckons he’s instead set to remain at Celtic Park for the foreseeable future.
“I don’t anticipate any [bids] to come in at this stage,” Rodgers told BBC Scotland. “It is too late in the window to lose one of our key players, so I can’t envisage anyone going out.”
Dembele was on target as Celtic moved fourteen points clear at the top of the table with their latest 3-1 home victory against Hearts.
“I thought we were very, very good this evening,” Rodgers added. “We started the game very well with a real intensity and I thought we showed real power in our performance.”
