Yeah, we have been here before and to be honest, the rumours of Celtic departures during the last transfer window were seen to be fruitless rumours rather than substantial offers.

But when it comes to Celtic business, there is one journalist that the fans do seem to trust in terms of accuracy compared to others.

Stephen McGowan gave a transfer update this morning as the Yuki Kobayashi ‘deal’ too centre stage in his report in the Daily Mail, but what kind of went under the radar was this little snippet at the end of this report, “Celtic are also bracing themselves for more interest in Croatian right-back Josip Juranovic after the World Cup finals.”

Let’s hope this is yet another one of these ‘rumours’ that don’t come to fruition.

Juranovic has become a firm fans favourite amongst the Celtic fans since he signed with the club last summer and, as I said before, was rumoured to be on the radar of various clubs this summer.

With the Croatian international under contract until 2026, Celtic hold all the aces should any prospective buyer be interested in securing his services and at just 27 years old, Juranovic is just entering his peak years which will help to maximise any fee the club would expect to receive should he have a successful World Cup campaign.

Who were Celtic’s most expensive transfers these seasons?
