Scottish Premiership champions Celtic have confirmed the signing of Aberdeen winger Jonny Hayes.
The 29-year-old forward arrives in Glasgow on a three-year contract after five years and more than two-hundred appearances at Pittodrie, describing it as an “honour”.
“This is a huge honour for me,” Hayes told Celtic’s official website. “It is a dream come true to be part of this brilliant football club and I can’t wait to get started.
“I’m delighted,” he enthused. “It’s been in the pipeline for a little while now but I’m pleased to finally get here. Now it’s my chance and hopefully, going forward, I can create my own little bit of history and take the chance I’ve been given.”
Meanwhile, Celtic midfielder Ryan Christie has moved in the opposite direction on a season-long loan.
