James Forrest’s appeal against a red card received at Hamilton Academical last week has been dismissed by the Scottish Football Association.

The teenager will now receive an automatic one-match ban that rules him out of the visit of Aberdeen this weekend.

Forrest was dismissed following a challenge on Accies’ Martin Canning early in the second-half of the eventful 1-1 draw at New Douglas Park.

But the 19-year-old will be back to face Hearts next week, although with twelve points added to his disciplinary record.
