Derby County have accepted an offer from Celtic for winger Kris Commons, who is now expected to hold negotiations with the SPL leaders and complete a move before the end of the January transfer window.
The 27-year-old is out of contract at Pride Park at the end of the season and had earlier rejected a £500,000 approach from Rangers.
Born in Mansfield, Commons began his career with Stoke City and following a spell at Nottingham Forest, he went on to join their local rivals Derby in June 2008.
In total he has made more than 300 senior appearances during his career and scored almost seventy goals, including thirteen in 28 games this season, and has already been capped seven times by Scotland.
