CELTIC SIGN COMMONS

Celtic have signed Scottish international winger Kris Commons from Derby County on a three-and-a-half-year deal.

The 27-year-old had earlier turned down a move to Rangers after the Rams had accepted a bid of around £500,000 for the seven-times capped forward.

The Hoops were expected to pay a similar amount after Commons successfully underwent a medical at Parkhead.

Manager Neil Lennon’s latest acquisition was due to be unveiled to the Press on Friday.
