Celtic star has impressed this pundit, he’s made a significant claim about Parkhead man

Few players in a Celtic start have impressed as much as James Forrest this season. We all knew how good he was, but he’s taken it to the next level this year, and pundit John Hartson has been full of praise for the Celtic ace this week.

As part of his column for the Evening Times, Hartson said: ‘James Forrest is Celtic’s best player and I’d have loved to have got a game beside him’, before adding that he’s been the best player for ’18 months’.

It’s tough to disagree with this sentiment. Celtic Park has been home to so many incredible players over the years, but under Brendan Rodgers, we’ve got one of the most talented batches of individuals for quite some time.

Forrest is right up there with all of them, and if he can continue his fine form for the rest of the season, there will be no doubting his quality.

He is, of course, on the back of a fantastic week for his country, and his form at Celtic has been terrific, especially in front of goal. He’s bagged 6 league goals already, and we’re expecting many more before the season ends.

One thing is for sure, and Hartson likely agrees – if Celtic are to be successful this season, Forrest will likely play a crucial role in everything they do.
