The transfer rumour mill for Celtic is at fever pitch.
With one new signing already confirmed and the consistent reports that Alistair Johnston is our next target, you can bet that there will be more speculation regarding players coming and going by the time the winter break comes along.
Two days ago we brought you the late-night news that Johnston was being targeted by Ange Postecoglou and yesterday we also updated our readers that the talks to land the energetic right-back were in an advanced stage.
Last night, Tom Bogert, who is a North American MLS journalist brought a similar update that the source he had confirms the rumour that Celtic and Montreal are locked in talks to take the Canadian international to Glasgow.
Source confirms @ManuelVeth’s scoop: Celtic in advanced talks to sign CF Montreal and Canada defender Alistair Johnston. Nothing done yet but advanced.
Johnston, 24, has 31 caps with Canada & made 77 apps in MLS with Montreal and Nashville. Nashville have 10% sell-on clause. pic.twitter.com/3vHe1bHnA2

With no fee yet reportedly agreed, I think it is fair to say that the future of Johnston does now look to be in Paradise.
Johnston starred in Canada’s 1-0 loss to Belgium in their opening World Cup group match where the Canadian’s style of play stunned the Belgians and earned them rave reviews from fans and the media.
I’m sure this story will run over the weekend and, hopefully, it will be concluded before the end of the tournament and the fans can look forward to welcoming another new signing to Celtic Park.
