Yes, he’s been good in parts and he’s also been injured which has hampered him but he would surely be only back up to what we have.
At £1m, he is a snip, probably, but I do feel you get what you pay for and though we can’t break the bank surely we can go for a bit more than that money-wise?
We want to sign players that are capable of taking us far into Europe – not just score on the domestic scene – and that is where we need to be looking.
It remains to be seen whether or not we’re going to get him in.
