Leaders Celtic have a visit from Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon.

Midfielder Stuart Armstrong has recovered from a hamstring injury and returns but striker Leigh Griffiths isn’t yet ready following calf trouble.

“They’re a threat, they can get goals, but they’ve found it difficult at times when they’ve conceded,” manager Brendan Rodgers told BBC Scotland. “Their loss to Aberdeen doesn’t make our task any easier, because when you ship a load of goals like that, your next game you want to ensure you’re watertight.

“So we’ll expect a tough game,” he admitted. “We always have to play to our maximum to perform well and get the result, and we’ll look to do that at the weekend.”

The Steelmen were hammered 7-2 by Aberdeen in midweek and are without suspended defender Richard Tait.

However, midfielder Carl McHugh and striker Scott McDonald have completed bans and are available for selection.
