When I was watching BT Sport last night, I couldn’t have been the only Celtic fan taking umbrage at Neil Lennon telling us where Celtic went wrong was I?
Thankfully not, but I have to say, watching Lennon speak about the teams performance didn’t sit right with me and the sheer brass neck of the guy to take the pundit gig when he wouldn’t listen to anyone as we watched his team implode in their pursuit of ten in a row.
Sutton took aim last night in his defence of Ange Postecoglou as he slammed Paul Lambert for his comments when he was speaking on the same punditry panel as Lennon when he took to twitter to say, “It’s ok Paul Lambert saying Ange Postecoglou needs to win titles and the club is all about winning etc but he’s taken over a (s word) and been in the door 3 months…”

And the big outspoken former Celtic striker didn’t leave it there, tonight he also went after Lennon and pinned the blame of the club squarely at the former Celtic gaffers door with a well timed dig at the Hoops board to measure.
Speaking on BT Sport Football Extra tonight Sutton said, “Neil Lennon calling them kamikaze last night, I understand the criticism and we’re here to analyse the style of play.
“But a lot of this mess was on Neil, and that’s just the way it was.
“It’s like somebody dumping a big lorryload of horse manure on your front garden, moving out next door and then complaining about the smell.
“That’s the way it is.
“The bottom line is, this guy needs time. In a year, if Celtic are getting pumped in Europe with kamikaze defending then it’s going to be an issue.
“At this moment in time, Ange Postecoglou needs backing.”
