Celtic begin their defence of the League Cup when hosting Championship side Raith Rovers on Wednesday evening.

The Hoops have both Stefan Johansen and Mikael Lustig available having missed their weekend demolition of Dundee.

However, midfielder Stuart Armstrong is not yet ready to return while new defender Jozo Simunovic is a major doubt due to a twisted ankle.

Rovers have made a mixed start to their campaign, with four wins and three defeats from their opening seven league games currently leaving them fourth in the table.

But they gathered their first away points of the season when winning against St Mirren last time out. They also knocked out top division Hamilton Academical in the previous round of the competition.

The visitors give a late fitness test to Iain Davidson but Craig Barr, Lewis Vaughan and Ross Callachan are sidelined.
