With all the focus currently on Celtic’s incomings, there does seem to be some movement at getting the fringe players off the book this window too.
With the predicted departures of Boli Bolingoli and Vasilis Barkas on the cards, it does seem that the former (Barkas) is actively looking to get his move out of Paradise.
The Greek international has fallen so far out of favour at Celtic Park, he is still the Hoops fourth choice keeper behind Joe Hart, Scott Bain and Tobi Oluwayemi.
And if you take account that Conor Hazard has just went on loan, he would incredibly be FIFTH choice.
Will Celtic's new arrivals bring the title to Paradise?
YES
NO
So this comes as no surprise that Greek journalist Giannis Chorianopoulos has revealed that Barkas’ agents are looking to get their client out the door, although I do feel he has his priorities of keeper mixed up.
Hazard to Helsinki means Barkas 3rd GK choice for Celtic as we speak. Barkas agents are checking the market but no progress at the moment@CelticFC #Celtic #CelticFC #Barkas

The sooner Barkas leaves the club the better.
Not only for Celtic, but to also save his own career.
He arrived with a huge reputation and unfortunately for him, he has not lived up to that.
With a career that has, so far, seen the keeper pick up a Greek title and a Scottish title as well as thirteen caps for his country, at just 27 years old, Barkas knows he still has time on his side to resurrect what was once a highly promising career.

Surely Barkas is the latter not the former?
