It is being reported that Andrew Gutman could be on his way out  of Parkhead as he looks to enter talks with American outfit FC Cincinnati.

Gutman join the Hoops in January 2019, initially after rejecting a contract from Rangers in December 2018, signing a three year contract and , due to work permit problems, was immediately loaned out to Nashville SC in the USL Championship, a move that lasted barely a month before Nashville cancelled the deal due to disapproval from the Major League Soccer.

Gutman then joined US second tier club, Charlotte Independence on loan where he made twelve appearances and scored two goals. In August 2019, the defender then signed on loan for FC Cincinnati where he has become a key player for the American Major League Soccer side.

Gutman was a highly rated player in his homeland, where as a youngster, he won the Hermann Trophy, which is considered a highly prestigious award for a college soccer player.

Speaking when he joined Cincinnati last year, Gutman had planned on a return to Celtic Park as he said: “Right now, I’m planning on going back to Celtic and training for a month until around December.

“After that I’ll take a few weeks off to hang around with my family.

“I’ll have a good stint of training with them just to get back in front of their faces and show them my qualities again. It will be good.

“I’ve been through two pre-seasons this year so I definitely to give my body a break at some point.

“But I think, with two and a half months until our next pre season here, I definitely want to continue just a little bit longer if I can then hopefully get six weeks off to regenerate.”
