Celtic Assistant Manager, John Kennedy, has been heading the front line interviews over the last day and has been full of praise and admiration for young Celtic star Ismaila Soro.  The young Ivorian has been in superb form since  making the breakthrough into the first team and he looks a natural successor to Scott Brown, should the captain’s first team duties be scaled down.

Kennedy was Kennedy was full of praise for the dynamic midfielder in his press conference saying, “Ismaila has been top class. He’s a young player who’s come from a foreign country and it has taken time to adjust.

He was without his family then off a long time with the Covid situation, isolation was a struggle.

“It’s been good to see him performing. We’d seen bits of it in training but over time we’ve seen his development in some of the bounce games.

“The time was right for him and he’s taken his opportunity. He’s been a real dynamo, he plays simple but effective football, he’s been excellent.

“He enjoys the defensive side, which is a credit to him as there are a lot of modern players who like the glamour rather than the dirty side of the game.

“Ismaila loves it. He trains exactly the way he plays. If you look at his role in the team, he plays to those strengths. He’s added a good dynamic.”

Soro looks like he will be a part of the first team plans for years to come and the Celtic fans have also been delighted with the midfielders outings so far.
