Hugh Keevins makes absurd Celtic ‘dropped points’ claim with no evidence to back it up

Now I know it’s reached hysterical levels.

Before Sunday’s Scottish Cup defeat, Celtic were on a 35 game (I think?) unbeaten run in all domestic competitions and were blowing away teams for fun.

And I mean for fun.

Free scoring and very stingy at the back, Celtic have the deadliest attack in the league and the meanest defence in Scotland.

So much so that they turned a seven point deficit into a six point lead.

The team are going great guns in the league.

But in domestic cups, one league cup in the trophy cabinet, and a Scottish Cup exit.

If I had been offered that at the start of the season I would have laughed at you.

But it seems that this one defeat has led Clyde 1 Superscoreboard’s Hugh Keevins to further sensationalise the loss by making this stunning claim about Celtic’s upcoming league games, “If Celtic don’t come back roaring in their next match and if they don’t take full points at Ross County it’s [the league title] up for grabs again.

“I think they’ll drop points in the first two [league games] and then we’ll talk about the last three.”

So bu his reckoning Hugh expects us to drop points against Ross County and our rivals?

He didn’t mention context, as in losses or draws, but to me this is just another wildly inaccurate prediction based on nothing except one cup semi final defeat.

He has basically taken all our form from the last 36 games and ripped it up based on one fixture.

Whilst also conveniently forgetting that in our last two fixtures against our rivals we have a combined 5-1 aggregate score to our advantage.

Hugh’s predictions are legendary for being wildly off.

Anyone remember A.N.G.E?

hugh said on the 18th of march that ross county would give us a harder game than dundee would give them at 315 we were 3 0 up

  • James says:

By my maths, we could drop points in the next 4 league games, beat Motherwell at home in our last game and win the league.
    I.E Ross County (A) draw
    Rangers (H) draw
Hearts (H) draw Dundee Utd (A) draw and finally Motherwell (H) win
    Celtic are champions.

Just as wildly off as Charlie nicholas. Rangers season over after defeats in Europa cup and Scottish cup said Charlie boy.
