“I don’t agree with Hugh” – Clyde pundit pulls apart Hugh Keevins’ bizarre Celtic claim

Last night I wrote about Hugh Keevins  and how he claimed that Celtic would drop points in there last five league games of the season.

Not impossible, yes, but on the balance of form and past results, not probable.

But this opinion was not borne out of anything other than a knee jerk reaction to Celtic’s loss in the Scottish Cup on Sunday afternoon.

That’s it.

No basis of evidence (on league form) suggests that Celtic will drop points at all over the course of the next few weeks.

It was a bit of a dramatic over reaction in my opinion.

And it was taken apart by fellow pundit, Gordon Dalziel on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard.

Dalziel said immediately after Keevins’ claim, “I don’t agree with Hugh. I know what he’s saying.

“If Celtic had won today Hugh, you would never had said the league wasn’t over.

“For me the league is over because six points plus the goal difference, seven points.

“I know that Celtic were poor today. I know you rhymed off a few injuries but they’ve got massive squad of good quality players.

“There’s no chance Celtic are throwing the league way.”

A much more balanced view based on factual evidence.

Backed up his argument with clear and concise facts rather than a reaction to one defeat which, by the way, can happen to ANY team in ANY cup competition.

Celtic resume league business away to Ross County this weekend where Ange Postecoglou will be hoping to see a reaction to the weekends disappointment.
