We all have our opinions on where Ange needs to strengthen the team.

From the start of the window, I always maintained that a goalkeeper, central defender, left back and central defensive midfielder should be our priorities.

So far we have crossed two off that list.

I think we can all agree that the midfield position is the priority now for the team and, hopefully, we will see some movement on that soon.

But will Celtic strengthen in other areas?

Journalist Mark Guidi reckons so and he also thinks the club will spend big if needed.

Speaking on the Go Radio Football Show, Guidi said, “I think if the right players become available there’s money there.

“For Celtic there is absolute certainty as to what the funds are that are coming in between European money, season ticket money and all that other revenue streams.

“So they know exactly what the budget’s going to be.

“Celtic are very, very healthy in the black when it comes to the player trading.

“So if the right players become available, then I think Celtic will be looking at possibly another central defender if Julliene goes, which I think he will.

“That central midfielder that they’re looking for and if they need to spend big in that area, I think they will.

“And possibly another striker.

“Possibly but I don’t think that’s a priority.”

I can’t see the club bringing in a new striker if I am honest.

We have so many options like Maeda and Abada that can fill in there, is there really a pressing need to add another body there?
