“I’m sorry, it’s embarrassing” – Willie Miller’s surreal rant at Postecoglou’s coaching and scouting

This is very peculiar. Or embarrassing. You pick.

Tell you what, read this then leave a comment on what you think. Or even better, head to the forum and discuss at will because this has left be baffled.

After Celtic beat Aberdeen 3-2 at Pittodrie last night, former Dons defender Willie Miller was speaking on BBC Sportsound and had an incredible rant at the coaching and scouting at the club.

And as is the norm for this broadcast, it’s the Celtic defence that gets it in the neck. The only thing missing was the obligatory Carl Starfelt mention which, rather bizarrely, didn’t happen.

Miller was discussing the Ramirez goal when he said, “It’s embarrassing for the opposition [Celtic].

“I’m sorry, it’s embarrassing.

“I mean, how much time do they spend on the technical side of the game?

“How many people do they have scouting the opposition?

“How much footage do they actually have scouting Aberdeen this season?

“And yet, constantly, teams do not apply whatever they are seeing, on the field of play.

“Ramirez comes from the back to the front, it’s so simple to stop, it should be stopped, it shouldn’t happen.

“But thankfully for Aberdeen, they all go to sleep and they get the goal”

Miller  shouldn’t need to worry where Ange sends his scouts or what he does on the training ground because the club are still TWENTY games unbeaten and top of the league.

Plus. we have already beaten his old club three times out of three this season.

It seems like Miller would have been best served directing his comments to the Aberdeen manager.
