With the transfer window opened for just under a week now, there have been more links to Celtic than you’ll find in a butchers shop.

From left back to centre midfield the club have been linked with a multitude of players and trying to differentiate the good stories from the ones designed for the purposes of clicks (like the Gareth Bale one! Jeez) can be tiresome.

But there are reliable sources out there that I listen to when it comes to anything Celtic and Scottish football.

Guys like Anthony Joseph, for example.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Joseph made this claim about Celtic’s pursuit of out of contract ‘keeper, Benji Siegrist, “Siegrist is someone they’ve been looking at for quite a while, just in terms of their wish list of good goalkeepers.

“And he’s out of contract, so that would be quite an easy one, and it would not surprise me if Siegrist was to join this summer.

“He probably wants to also be back in the setup for international football as well.”

Siegrist seems to be getting good backing from the Celtic support as a potential signing and this site has been writing about the possibility of him joining the club since March last year.

With back up in that position clearly a priority, Vital Celtic made a suggestion yesterday that would not only bring some quality to the club but would also send our rivals into a spin if we managed to sign him.
