So could this be it?

Could this be the news we are all waiting for?

The reason why the CCV deal is not done yet?

Celtic fans have been waiting for what seems like an eternity to find out the news of whether or not the big American wants to sign for Celtic.

By all accounts, it seems as though he does. So what’s the hold up?

Former Tottenham defender Allan Hutton reckons he knows what is causing the unnecessary delay.

Speaking to Football Insider , Hutton said, “This is a situation Daniel Levy has found himself in quite a lot over the years.

“He has all the power, it’s kind of up to him and it’s very difficult to deal with that.

“It is a shame because obviously the player is desperate to Celtic. He’s already said he’s happy with negotiations so far, it’s just been held up by this. It’s a shame for him, it’s a shame for the club.

“Daniel Levy wants the most money possible. Hopefully, Levy and the club can sort it out.

“It all has to come down to the player himself. He’s not going to get game time at Tottenham.

“I get they’ve put an investment into him and they want to get their money back but don’t overstep the mark and price him out a move.”

And here was me thinking the fee had already been agreed? Whatever the delay is, Celtic need to get it sorted.

And pronto.
