Gary Hooper is a self-confessed fan of Celtic’s own wizard of the dribble Paddy McCourt.

“He just goes past players like they are not there. He is a great player to have in the team” – Gary Hooper

The 26-year-old Northern Ireland international added another fine solo goal to his collection during the recent home draw with Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Already dubbed the ‘Derry Pele’, McCourt skipped effortlessly past bemused opponents before then comfortably finding the net, something that Hooper regularly sees him doing in practice.

“He does it in training every day as well so he just takes it from the training to the game and showed it again in the Inverness game,” Hooper told Celtic’s official website.

“Obviously I have seen world-class players do it, but I haven`t seen anyone like Paddy from people I have played with,” he added. “He just goes past players like they are not there. He is a great player to have in the team.”
