The performance last night from the team was abject.

Is that the best way to describe it? Abject? Let me know in the forum and I’ll reply to as many comments as I can.

Maybe abject is too strong. It was certainly very disappointing though.

I can’t think of a single Celtic player that stood out for me and that is something because almost every game we have at least two or three people vying for man of the match.

John Hartson was describing the performance of the players on BT Sport last night and made a comment that left me scratching my head, “A very disappointing evening.

“I thought the endeavour and willingness was there from the players, they gave absolutely everything.

“When you talk about quality, Celtic have quality in abundance. It just didn’t happen for them tonight.

“You might question… Ange might look at himself in terms of the system that he played and the personnel.

“Because within 10 minutes of the second half, Hatate has come on, Rogic has gone off, O’Riley ended up going off.

” Jota, again, lots of endeavour and lots of the ball but it was just one of those nights.

“Every time Bodo/Glimt went forward they looked a threat, they’re a very good side and Celtic are up against it.”

I’m not sure about you but did those players give everything? I mean REALLY give everything?

If they did then I didn’t see it. Now that’s not me saying they didn’t try because of course they did.

Put it this way. Which player for you got pass marks because I am struggling to think of one. Possibly Starfelt.

But maybe this performance was coming. We saw glimpses of it in the first half against Raith Rovers.

But let’s hope that as we return to league duty on Sunday, the team get back to that sparkling form that we have all become accustomed to.
