Former Celtic striker, John Hartson, has had his fair share of personal troubles in his past.

From his well publicised gambling addiction to life threatening health issues, the big Welshman has come through the most adverse time in his life for the better.

Although he admits it’s a daily battle to stay on top of his gambling issues, the big man has recovered well and cites the amazing support he has been given from his wife and those closest to him.

Just over a week ago, Hartson reached out to a twitter user and offered help with a medical issue he was having and yesterday he reached out again to a young lad who was filmed being bullied by youths.

In a tweet posted alongside a still from the video, Angela Louise the young boys mother said, “I want to thank every single person on this planet who has shown my son and family so much love and support, we’re all very shaken up and we feel absolutely sick and we’re not sure how to even deal or recover from with what we’ve had to witness happen to our gorgeous baby boy.💔”

To which Hartson replied, “Hi Angela.. please get in touch if I can be of any help.. I have followed you so you can DM me . Stay strong as a family 👍🏻”

The young boy has received support and a day out from YouTuber Chelsea Lookback and it seems that more help and support is on the way from Hartson.
