Celtic’s team selection woes were eased yesterday as Ange Postecoglou confirmed that Carl Starfelt is the only player confirmed to miss the vital Champions League clash with the gaffer waiting till the last minute to make a decision on Cameron Carter-Vickers.

The Hoops face a crucial double header against the German Bundesliga side and whichever way the results go, these two games will go a long way to deciding our Champions League destiny.

But a late-night report in The Sun claimed that Celtic star Liel Abada will miss the vital clash in Germany due to the Israeli religious celebration of Yom Kippur.

Known as the Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur is the holiest day of the Jewish year and although Ange Postecoglou will leave the final decision to Abada, it is widely expected that the young Israeli will sit this one out.

Abada missed the Europa League clash against Real Betis last season so there won’t be much hope of seeing him in Germany.

Ange Postecoglou said of the upcoming challenge, “Leipzig away is a pretty tough challenge.

“The change of manager seems to have sparked them a little bit.

“They have got a lot of speed, very dynamic, and in terms of transition football they are quick.”

The Celtic boss will be hoping that Cameron Carter-Vickers will be fit in time for the fixture tomorrow as the central defensive partnership of Welsh and Jenz does look shaky.
