Neil Lennon praised youngster Liam Henderson after making his first start for Celtic.
“Credit to him and credit to the academy, because I think we have got a good player there” – Neil Lennon |
The seventeen-year-old was allowed his full debut at Kilmarnock after James Forrest and Nir Biton were both ruled out for a number of weeks, while Beram
Kayal is still lacking sharpness.
“Liam did well,” Lennon told the Daily Record. “With Nir being out and Beram being a wee bit undercooked after the injury, it was a decent opportunity to play the kid because we didn’t want to change the shape of the team.
“I thought he grew into the game and had a superb debut,” he added. “Credit to him and credit to the academy, because I think we have got a good player there.”
