Celtic manager Neil Lennon described their performance as “flat” following the surprise 2-1 Scottish Cup fifth round home defeat to Aberdeen.

“We all have to accept the responsibility and the criticism that will come with it” – Neil Lennon

The Hoops failed to build upon Anthony Stokes’ early strike as Russell Anderson and Peter Pawlett later turned the contest around.

“There was a flatness about our play and I don’t know where that has come from,” Lennon admitted to BBC Scotland. “We gave the players all the preparations needed.

“We didn’t play anywhere near to what we can,” he added. “You have to give them credit. They played well on the day or made us play poorly. We all have to accept the responsibility and the criticism that will come with it.”
