Neil Lennon confirmed he is still intent on bringing in another striker to Celtic despite Anthony Stokes’ match-winning brace against Ross County.

“We were a bit dozy to start with and we got punished for that with a fantastic goal” – Neil Lennon

Stokes scored a late winner after earlier cancelling out a shock third-minute opener from the visitors as the champions began their league campaign with a 2-1 success.

“Anthony’s part of it and there’s never any question of him being left out of things,” Lennon told BBC Scotland. “His goal record here is very good and he brings a lot more to the team than just goals.

“We were a bit dozy to start with and we got punished for that with a fantastic goal from Ross County,” he continued. “But our response for the next 84 minutes was scintillating football. I couldn’t have asked for any more and if it had ended up 1-1 I would’ve still been very pleased.”
