Johan Mjallby has quashed speculation that manager Neil Lennon wants to quit Celtic following more recent problems.
“He hasn’t told me that he has had enough. He is a strong character. He is in this job for the long run” – Johan Mjallby
Lennon has been surrounded by security fears after the midweek Scottish Cup victory over Rangers and his home given 24-hour surveillance.
That followed another suspicious package addressed to him being intercepted at a Royal Mail sorting office earlier this week.
“He hasn’t told me that he has had enough. He is a strong character. He is in this job for the long run,” assistant manager Mjallby told BBC Scotland. “He can certainly take the pressure, so I would be very surprised if that happened.
“He is upbeat, in a good state of mind and fairly happy,” continued the Swede. “After Wednesday’s game, all we did was concentrate on this game and he is very good at that.”
