It’s just our luck isn’t it?
After Ange Postecoglou highlighted last week that it would be nice to get a penalty after the officials missed a blatant handball against Hearts, we finally get awarded one and we miss it.
Not only do we miss it, but it was exactly a year ago to the day when Giakoumakis missed that penalty at Celtic Park in a 0-0 draw last season, to when he missed the penalty against Livingston on Sunday.
Talk about written in the stars.
With Juranovic on the bench, Sunday’s penalty was left to the big Greek striker:

Out of three penalties Giakoumakis has taken, he has missed two with both against the same opposition.
So when Ange was asked if the former Dutch top goalscorer will be removed from penalty duty post match, the Celtic gaffers answer was calm, measured and first class.
Speaking on BBC Sportsound, Postecoglou said, “No he’s a goalscorer.
“Look that’s that’s part of the game.
“When you’re a striker you take the accolades when you score goals but you always take the responsibility and I’m sure he’ll want to take the next one.”
And that is exactly the backing Giakoumakis would want from his manager.
I don’t really know what Kheredine was expecting Ange to say to be honest.
‘Yes, that’s him done!’?
One thing that Giakoumakis is short of is confidence and he will bounce back from this like he did last season.
