This caused a bit of a stir on social media yesterday.

As Josip Juranovic enjoys some well earned time off, he still managed to complete some media duties where he was asked about the recent stories linking him with a move to Spanish giants, Atletico Madrid.

In an interview with RTL [as reported by Mundo Deportivo] they translated the interview as, “I know there were some stories, but I honestly didn’t even ask my representative anything about it.

“I didn’t care, and I have to keep my feet on the ground, although after all, it was Atletico Madrid.

“Of course, I’m already at a great club, Celtic,”

“I finally have the opportunity to play the Champions League here.

“I just think about listening to the atmosphere, that anthem and playing on that stage.”

So where did the Scottish media get the ‘I hope there was something in those stories‘ quote from?

Has the quote been lost in translation? If so, from which end?

Clearly Juranovic is happy at the Scottish Champions and it does look like the reported interest has cooled which will allow the fans favourite to fully focus on the clubs pre season preparation for the year ahead.

With Champions League football to look forward to in front of 60,000 fans every second week, why would Juranovic be tempted to go anywhere else?
