Marseille have reportedly submitted and offer to Celtic this morning for midfielder, Olivier Ntcham. As Vital Celtic reported yesterday , Ntcham is on the radar of the French champions as well as other English Premier League clubs.
Newcastle United are said to have cooled their interest in the Frenchman as Celtic’s were initially demanding an “option to buy” clause in the loan deal. West Bromwich Albion were also reported to be interested but so far Sam Allardyce has not submitted a bid.
Ntcham has his heart on heading back to his native homeland and a move to the Stade Vellodrome side would be his preferred option. Celtic are looking for around £8m for the midfielder but when his form was at it’s peak, they did value Ntcham at around £14m.
Ntcham has been more of a bit part player this season for the Hoops making only fourteen appearances in the league, but seven of those came from the bench. It is a far cry from when Ntcham first joined Celtic as he was a mainstay in the first team and was clearly the best midfielder in the country on his day.
It is claimed that Ntcham has already held talks with OM’s President, Pablo Longoria, so a deal could be struck imminently.
