After Celtic were knocked out of the Europa Conference League 5-1 on aggregate, 2-0 on the night, Ange was facing the press and he seemed in no mood to be taking silly questions.
And to be fair, I don’t blame the journalist.
We all love it when foreign coaches and players and big up our team after a win.
And we especially love it when they tell us that we can give anyone a game in our own patch and I think that was the angle this reporter was going for when he asked [Fox News] the Celtic gaffer if he thought Bodo Glimt could win the tournament.
Ange being Ange, replied, “Mate, come on. Ask their coach.
“Why do I care? Really. Do you think I really care who wins this tournament now?
“We’re not going to win it.
“They’re a good team, I hope they keep going well, but I couldn’t care less who wins the tournament.”
Poor guy. Bit harsh from Ange but still funny though.
At least the Hoops gaffer can look forward to the inciteful and probing questions from the Scottish media this weekend when his side return to domestic business.
