It’s the start of a new week and it won’t be long now until we are back in league action.
The winter break is coming towards its final days and the Bhoys will soon be back amongst it with the Scottish Cup resuming at the weekend.
We play Airdrieonians, of course, but we cannot focus solely on the games, we need to keep looking for new players to come in to the club.
And, that said, the Express reported last week that we were looking at right-back Omar Elabdellaoui as a potential successor for defender Mikael Lustig.
The right-back area does need addressing sooner rather than later now, with Lustig struggling for consistency as he gets towards the end of his career.
Elabdellaoui has got plenty of years left, though, and it seems as though our fans are liking the sound of this potential arrival based on the poll I ran over the weekend:
