Celtic fans are confident that the Hoops will come through the UEFA Champions League qualification process for the third successive season, something that the club have never managed previously.

The Hoops have played in the group stages of Europe’s premier competition for three seasons in a row only once previously, from 2006 through 2008, but qualified outright for the groups in two of those appearances after winning the then named Scottish Premier League.

The summer qualifying gauntlet is notoriously difficult, with every manager since the 90s at times failing to successfully negotiate the tricky path to the lucrative big stage.

So far under Brendan Rodgers though it’s been a case of job done, showing a steely determination to get through the knockout ties despite long trips, difficult environments and a lack of match fitness.

Now, after Tuesday night’s win in Armenia, fans are confident the Bhoys will get the job done again. A massive 95% of respondents to a poll we published earlier this week believe the club will successfully negotiate the qualifiers.
