Potential boardroom changes at Celtic Park could potentially mean the end of manager, Neil Lennon, and Chief Scout, Nicky Hammond according to ex player and now pundit Danny Mills.

Major shareholder, Dermott Desmond, is seemingly looking to step aside to allow his son to take over the reigns. Normally when this happens the new man coming in likes to assess past performance and how to take the company forward and looking at this season alone, that doesn’t bode well for both Lennon and Hammond.

According to Mills,  who was speaking to The Football Insider, Neil Lennon, he’s not daft, he knows he’s at a very, very big club. He knows he has to get results and if results aren’t going your way you’re going to be under pressure.

“Any manager in this day and age, especially if you’re at a big club and not getting results, you’re under severe pressure.

“That’s just the way of the world. That’s how it is.

“I don’t think it’ll change his mentality, it won’t change anything that he does, he’ll just keep doing what he does, keep working as hard as he can.

“He’ll wait for someone else to make that decision because he’s certainly not going to walk away.”

And with the amount of money wasted on signings that haven’t worked out this season, the sign could also be ominous for Hammond.
