Charlie Nicholas hasn’t always been fond of some of the stuff we’ve done this season – particularly on transfers – but he is expecting some positive news this week for the club.

We’ve another set of midweek games to digest this time around and the Bhoys will be looking to get a big three points against Hibernian.

Meanwhile, two of our title rivals meet as Aberdeen host Rangers and Charlie is expecting a draw between the two to give us a further advantage in the league.

As quoted by the Daily Star, the former forward said:

“The Hoops are six points clear of Rangers and a further two ahead of Aberdeen.

“With their nearest rivals meeting at Pittodrie tomorrow night then one if not both could lose ground on Celtic if they do the business against Hibs.

“Celtic haven’t been great but they have won games and answered the questions that have been posed to them.

“Timo Weah is making a real impact and I see them beating Hibs.

“I also wouldn’t be surprised if Rangers and Aberdeen draw.”

For sure, you could see the pair drawing but even if one of the sides win I still think we are going to start pulling away.

We’ve already seen another little gap open up in recent weeks and this time around I firmly expect us to stretch it, rather than let these sides get back into it.
