What a return to Champions League competition, Celtic played well and did not look out of place or dramatically inferior to Real.
Unfortunately, old problems have cost us again from recording a famous result, we continually miss chances in Europe that our players would bury in the SPL, Abada and Maeda missed a few great scoring opportunities as Celtic teams and players year after year, we must learn to take such chances in Europe as they are priceless for securing positive results and another regular problem is that we often concede after missing goal opportunities and then concede again quickly resulting in us losing games that we definitely had opportunities to secure valuable points from.
However, our performance, our Captain and our first half performance in particular showed that this Celtic team are a team of quality and ability any opponent should be concerned about and I believe we will secure 9 points from this group and thus have European football in Paradise after Christmas and we will not be the only team to lose 3 goals to the European Champions this campaign, onwards and upwards for our team who gave us all pride and hope tonight for the game and our future games.
