Celtic’s transfer speculation has been reaching fever pitch over the last few weeks.

With the window officially opened, the fans are keen to see what type of players Ange Postecoglou is looking to bring in and there are key positions that many supporters are wanting the Celtic gaffer to strengthen.

One of those positions that Vital Celtic has been talking about is the goalkeeper.

Joe Hart needs serious back up as last season proved that with over 50 appearances for the club, Postecoglou clearly doesn’t see Barkas or Bain as suitable enough to rest the former England international.

A report from Football Insider has claimed that ‘recruitment sources’ are linking Celtic to Bosnian international keeper, Nikola Vasilj.

Vasilj has been capped five times by his country and currently plays for St Pauli in the German second tier.

Valued at just over £1m [Transfermarkt] the 26 year old not only fits in with the type of player Ange looks for (experience and age) he is not going to break the bank either.

The stopper narrowly missed out on promotion to the Bundesliga, finishing 5th, just three points off automatic promotion, it would seem that the Bosnian is keen to move on with Wolves and West Brom all ready to swoop after the Nations League campaign this month.
